Surgical Innovations Campaign
As Kern County continues to grow, so do the technological advances in medicine.
We invite you to read on to understand the need for the Surgical Innovations Campaign to ensure our surgeons are armed with the latest equipment in our operating suites.
In the last 2 decades, Kern County’s population has grown a stunning 41%. In an effort to keep pace with the growth, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital has undertaken ambitious campaigns to build the West Tower, S.A. Camp Burn Unit, and a full offering of pediatric services at the Lauren Small Children’s Center.
This campaign is equally important and impactful. The Surgical Innovations Campaign will ensure the surgical program is supported by the most advanced technology platforms and surgical towers available. Successful completion of this campaign will solidify Bakersfield Memorial Hospital’s role as the leader in tertiary, state-of-the-art, first and only surgical care in the Central Valley. Investing in the foundation that supports every individual operating room will ensure our surgeons remain on the cutting edge.
What are we raising money for?
10 Stryker 1788 Platforms
The 1788 Platform is the most sophisticated and comprehensive surgical visualization solution for use in multiple specialties. The 1788 features vibrant images, improved ease of use and enhanced fluorescence imaging apabilities, designed for clearer visualization of perfusion and critical anatomy - when it matters most. Stryker developed the 1788 with built-in architecture to enable visualization of multiple optical imaging agents. The goal is to help enhance and customize the OR experience, as surgeons strive to provide the best patient care possible.
3 OTV-S200 Visera Elite II Video System Centers
The VISERA ELITE II video system center combines the LED light source and the processor in one box, defining a new way of simplicity in the OR. The intuitive touch panel enables easy and fast control with no interruption of the procedure.
