Bakersfield Memorial Hospital has a long history of philanthropic support, and Bakersfield Memorial employees have always been the first to give and have given most generously. We proudly offer the opportunity to continue this tradition of giving through Our Spirit of Giving, the Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation’s annual employee giving program.
Our mission of ensuring state-of-the-art, compassionate healthcare for all in our community has never been more relevant or critical. With your support, we will continue to advance Bakersfield Memorial’s mission of healing now and for generations to come.
100% of your gift will support:
- Surgical Innovations: The Surgical Innovations Campaign will ensure the surgical program is supported by the most advanced platforms and towers available. Successful completion of this campaign will solidify Bakersfield Memorial Hospital’s role as the leader in tertiary, state-of-the-art, first and only surgical care in the Central Valley. Specifically, this program will purchase 10 Stryker 1788 Platforms which are the most sophisticated and comprehensive surgical visualization solution for use in multiple specialties. Additionally, there will be a purchase of three VISERA ELITE II video system center which combines the LED light source and the processor in one box, defining a new way of simplicity in the OR.
- Lauren Small Children’s Center: The Lauren Small Children's Center provides care to countless newborn and pediatric patients. The PICU, NICU and the acute care Bolthouse Family Pediatrics Department offer specialized services. The Robert Grimm Children’s Pavillion ER is the only pediatric ER in the county. Additionally, pediatric surgical suites will be opened in 2025. Laurent Small Children’s Center is the home of Children’s Miracle Network and a partner with the Ronald McDonald House.
- Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center: The Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center at Memorial Hospital provides comprehensive cardiovascular care to help improve your heart health. It is one of the most advanced centers for treating cardiovascular diseases such as congenital heart defects or heart attack in the Southern Valley, offering leading-edge preventative care and cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment services.
Levels of Giving:
- Memorial Circle (1% of base pay)
- Automatic Payroll Deductions ($5 minimum)
- One-Time Payroll Deduction ($25 minimum)
- PTO Donation (one-time or semi-annually)
