At Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation, our leadership, medical professionals and staff recognize the pivotal role philanthropy plays in upholding our hospital's standards of excellence today and in pioneering innovative approaches to patient care for tomorrow. Your inspiring and generous contributions have propelled groundbreaking programs, facilitated the development of state-of-the-art facilities and equipped our clinicians with the necessary tools and technologies to provide the highest quality care to our community.
This year, with the support of 510 donors, we've raised $6,416,000 to further our mission and enhance access to quality health care for all.
We have been able to be the first in Bakersfield to add pediatric surgery, including a preoperative and a post anesthesia care unit. We have ensured our imaging, cardiac and intensive care units have the technology to perform the procedures you expect at a tertiary care center. We have met our mission beyond the walls of the hospital, in the areas of the most critical need.
